Overview
To authenticate with Tailscale (API Key), you need:- Organization Name - The unique name for your organization.
- API Access Token - A key that grants Nango permission to interact with Tailscale’s API resources and services.
Prerequisites:
- You must have a Tailscale account with admin access to create and manage API Access Tokens.
Instructions:
Step 1: Finding Your Organization Name
- Log in to your Tailscale Admin console.
- Navigate to the General page.
- Your Organization Name will be displayed in the Organization field.
Step 2: Generating an API Access Token
- In the Tailscale admin console, navigate to the Keys page.
- Click Generate access token to create a new API Access Token.
- From the popup that appears, fill in all the required information and click Generate access token.
These tokens will have the same roles as the owning user.
Step 3: Enter credentials in the Connect UI
Once you have both your Organization Name and API Access Token:- Open the form where you need to authenticate with Tailscale (API Key).
- Enter your Organization Name and API Access Token in their designated fields.
- Submit the form, and you should be successfully authenticated.
